Reproduced below is an open letter Tony Gillard CC has sent to the Coalville TImes via journalist Anne Ward.
Dear Anna,
Since meeting with you and Nick Rushton in Whitwick on Tuesday 5th March, my campaign to get the Co-op store in the Whitwick Market Place is really going well. Residents are very positive and are looking forward to the Co-op coming to Whitwick. I am discussing the planning application with District Council Leaders and planners and stressing to them how important this application is for Whitwick. It will be a massive boost to the local economy, create jobs and greatly improve the street-scene in the Market Place as well as providing a much needed food store for local residents to purchase provisions without the need to travel to nearby towns. I will be attending the meeting to support the application in April.
The planning application for the CO-OP will be determined by the NW Leicestershire District Council's Planning Committee in April and I am confident that the application will be recommended for approval so that works can begin straight away. Should local residents wish to discuss this application with me please contact me on 01530 452930 E-mail [email protected]
Best Regards
Tony Gillard CC
