Sir Clive, the Conservative, beat Labour’s Sarah Russell as well as Independent candidate Suleman Nagdi in yesterday’s election.
The result was confirmed following the counting of second preference votes, after neither Sir Clive nor Mrs Russell managed to get 50 per cent of votes.
Mr Nagdi was eliminated after the first round.
The final city & county-wide totals were 59,915 votes for Sir Clive, 42,503 for Mrs Russell and 21,292 for Mr Nagdi.
Sir Clive Loader will be presented with a handover report by chairman of the outgoing authority, Cllr Barrie Roper, during a ceremony at the county police headquarters in Enderby next week.

Ahead of the elections on Thursday 15 November, Sir Clive Loader has been busy meeting with local communities, and now that the candidates list has closed, preparing for and attending hustings around the city and 2 counties.
