County Council candidate for Melton West
Mark Frisby has lived in Melton all of his life and he has always been active in our local community by supporting charities as well as community and education projects.
He was a lecturer at Brooksby Melton College before retraining as a guidance specialist. He is now a self-employed mentor who provides training to young people and adults in Melton by providing personal development and careers advice. He is particularly proud of his achievements when working with clients with hidden disabilities. He is passionate about working with our young people, nurturing local talent and making sure that we retain the skills that are vital to our town and its growth.
Mark regularly contributes on BBC Radio Leicester, highlighting training, employment and skills development opportunities in the county. He also delivers programmes in conjunction with the charities Princes' Trust and Vista Blind.
Mark wants to be your County Councillor to address the issues that matter the most to you and your family. He wants to see more opportunities for our young people to remain in education and training locally and then for them to work in our town. He will make sure that the council prioritises mental health and care support to ensure that we are offering the best possible care to those who most need it. He will also work to bring additional investment into our town, so that we have somewhere we can work, socialise and that attracts tourists to our area.
